We are into football season now.  If you haven't been to a game in awhile, tailgating might look a little different to you than it used to.

How many times have you been here?  You get to your tailgate.  You have huge plans.  It's going to be the best tailgate party ever!  Then you unpack all your stuff and you realize that you don't have everything you need.

Sure, tailgating is all about the food, drinks, and company, but there are bunch of things that you have to remember along side all those things.

I was a season ticket holder for years.  Week after week we would cook, drink, and then drink some more leading up to game time.  It was a weekly ritual.  And I'm not going to lie, we made our mistakes.  One week we planned to make breakfast sandwiches at the lot only to forget anything to turn the bacon in the pan.  We've run out of propane, and even forgotten a can opener to open the hot dog sauce.

Now, in Buffalo, you'll normally find someone that will loan you whatever you need.  We're normally friendly here (unless you're from the other team).  But it's just easier to remember to bring it all on your own.

So I put this checklist together for you.  There are probably some extra things that you absolutely have to have for your tailgate.  But these are pretty basic/important things to have along.

What did I leave off that you HAVE to have?
