7 Power Outage Essentials From A New York State Dad
The winds were gusting with hurricane force in New York State this week. As the debris cleanup in ongoing, this may be the perfect time to be prepared for the next big storm. It seems that these storms are more frequent and more intense than in the past.
Hurricane Force Winds
A massive storm swept across the country and pounded portions of New York State on Tuesday. Trees were ripped apart and thousands were without power. If you are a family with young kids, a power outage can be a bigger struggle. However, there are some things that you can do now to keep them entertained in the next storm and power outage.
Always The Worst Time
When the winds gusts to 70 or 80 miles per hour, there is a good chance that the power or electricity will go out. This past storm brought wind speeds over 70 miles an hour and hit in the middle of the day when most kids were at school. How do you keep the kids busy an off your back while you try to fix problems that are popping up?
