The first time I heard "Crazy Girl" by the Eli Young Band, I knew they had a huge hit on their hands. Up to that point, they only had one top 10 country radio hit ("Always the Love Songs") and long-standing career success in their native, Texas.

Released in March of 2011, "Crazy Girl" would reach the number one spot on both Mediabase and Billboard Country Airplay by the first week of November.

Written by Lee Brice and Liz Rose, it was the lead single off EYB's Life at Best album, which produced another number one hit ("Even If It Breaks Your Heart") and a top 25 hit ("Say Goodnight").

I think they also nailed the music video, which was directed by Brian Lazzaro.

"Crazy Girl" is right up there for my favorite Eli Young Band song and it may be their biggest hit. The melody and music are so catchy and lead singer Mike Eli makes the song his own.
