One of the most salacious and guilty-pleasures on TV right now is 90 Day Fiancé. Airing on TLC on Sunday nights, the popular show follows long-distance couples who are living together in the United States for the first time under a K-1 visa. This special visa will allow international partners to remain in the United States for 90 days (hence the name), until they either marry their American sweethearts or are sent back to the country where they are from.

The show is filled with crazy moments and drama, and fans love to watch to see what problems may ensue and if these quirky and  interesting couples will stay together for the long-haul.

Season ten of 90 Day Fiancé debuted this past Sunday night, revealing some new cast members, as well as some from prior seasons. One member of the new cast, Ashley, will be especially interesting to watch. Not only does Ashley have an interesting story regarding her international beau, she also lives right in our Western New York backyard.

Who Is Ashley On 98 Fiancé?

Ashley, a 32-year-old from Rochester, New York, described herself as a witch who specializes in tarot card reading and astrology.

Drama is sure to ensue this season, as Ashley stirred the pot (pun absolutely intended) by revealing her religious fiancé, Manuel, has no idea that she’s into the dark arts.

How Did Ashley Meet Her Fiancé Manuel?

In college, Ashley took a trip to Ecuador, where she met the construction worker at a New Year’s Eve party, and became engaged for the first time shortly after.

After trying a long distance relationship, they eventually broke up. Then, 7 years later, they reconnected, and after visiting Ecuador again during the pandemic, Ashley became engaged to Manuel for the second time.

Three years later, the now 35-year-old Manuel decided to come to America to get a job in construction and be with Ashley, and when their K-1 visa application was accepted, Manuel planned his first trip to Rochester.

Massive Drama In the First 90 Day Fiancé Episode

Throughout the episode, Ashley tells her friends and the camera how nervous she is about Manuel’s first trip to America. He has never left Ecuador before, and will have to take three different planes just to get to Rochester.

Throw on top of that the fact that Manuel doesn’t speak English, and his K-1 visa expires the very next day.

The last scene of the episodes shows Ashley driving on 490 on her way to the Greater Rochester International Airport to pick Manuel, having a panic attack and worrying that he may have not gotten through customs.

Based on the first episode, you can guarantee there will be lots of upcoming drama unfolding on this season’s 90 Day Fiancé, and we’ll get to watch it with Western New York in the background.

90 Day Fiancé airs Sunday nights at 8pm on TLC, and streams the next day on Max.
