Man Arrested for Forcible Touching with Elmer’s Glue At WNY Walmart
The girls who were forcibly touched at a Walmart last week want Western New York to know and be aware of a situation that happened so that other women can be aware.
The Amherst Police Department sent out a press release on Monday about the matter.
The incident happened at the Walmart on Sheridan.
The two women, who were there separately from each other, were walking through the Walmart on Sheridan when the assault happened. You can read what the girls wrote on Facebook below.
This perpetrator is also a UB medical student which makes this situation all the more terrifying.
What happened at Walmart on Sheridan?
A 24-year-old man was going behind the women and splashing them with Elmer's glue on their butt, back, and legs and then would try and wipe it off immediately. The police were called,d and he was arrested and charged.
He then pointed out that I had more on my backside and began rubbing his hands all over me. Before I could react, he groped me—first on my hip, then on my right buttock. I was in shock but managed to push his hands away. He lunged toward me again and started pressing himself against me and rubbing against me. I loudly yelled “No!” and told him to stop, but he didn’t", according to the Facebook post below.
Here is the post from Sara, in hopes that others watch for their surroundings.
Luckily, the girls in the incident are okay. There are so many scary situations that we hear about females walking around the mall or other public places and feel that they are being followed. It is a real thing and sometimes we feel that it is not reported on enough so, the girls involved with the recent story at Walmart are doing a favor by spreading more awareness.
One of the most extreme cases in Western New York to ever happen was the incident where one Cheektowaga was abducted after being followed home from Cheektowaga. A man was charged in the incident.
