There's pride to be had in voting.  You have just performed your civic duty and you want to show it off to the world.  Maybe it's your first time voting ever and you want to record it...so you take out your phone and click a quick selfie.

But be careful.  Taking a Ballot Selfie could be illegal depending on where you live.

In New York State, photos showing a completed ballot or indicating how a person cast their vote are not allowed.

It definitely depends on the prosecutor in that state as to what steps will be taken if you break that law and every state is different.  For example, in the state of Michigan, your vote could be revoked if you take a photo in a polling station.

Your best bet?  If you want to show your pride, wait until you leave and take a photo of your "I Voted" sticker.
