We're a family with four small children now, but we still like to stay active and make family time a priority. The kids always have so much fun at Becker Farms and are tuckered out by the time we get home. We just went apple picking, and it really seemed like there were more apples on the trees than ever.

You can find a wide variety of Fall Fun ticketing options online here, including haunted hayrides and tastings of craft beer, wine, and cider.

On top of all that, Halloween Spirit — Becker Farms at Night kicks off Friday, Oct. 13 with additional attractions that are open later, including the Becker Mountain mega slide, the Haunted Corn Maze, and the Haunted Labyrinth. They'll also have the petting zoo, playground, and live music every Saturday night. For an extra fee, you can reserve a private campfire to keep the fun going with up to 20 family and friends. They even light the campfire for you!

Those with younger children won't want to miss Trunk or Treat from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29.

Becker Farms offers a lot for adults and older children, but my family had a great time exploring everything for the younger set, too. I do have a few tips for my fellow parents with younger kids:

1) Bring an all-terrain stroller. The apples are in fields that an all-terrain stroller is best for unless you're really committed to a carrier or everyone walking on their own. You also are welcome to bring a wagon, blankets, or folding chairs.

2) Don't forget sunscreen. Although you are amongst amazing apple trees, you will be in plenty of open sunshine walking the vast property. You probably won't even notice how much time is passing, so you might as well apply sunscreen before you get started.

3) Make sure everyone has sneakers. Our boys wanted to wear Crocs, and thankfully we made sure that they had sneakers on. You’ll do plenty of walking (or toddler running).

4) Remember to grab some quarters for the feed for the animals and fish. These are always fam favorites.

Tickets are needed on the weekends from Sept. 2 through Oct. 30, plus Labor Day and Columbus Day, but admission is free on all other weekdays. Our kids already are asking to go back! Learn more and get your tickets at beckerfarms.com.
