Normally when a player signs with a team, you'll hear it from multiple sources.  This player just announced it himself.

Buffalo Bills fans may remember the name Ben DiNucci.  He was only with the Bills for a short amount of time but was a Buffalo Bills nonetheless.  This past season DiNucci was signed to play with the Bills shortly after Mitch Trubisky got hurt.  They were dealing with injuries to Trubisky and then their third-string quarterback Shane Buchele went down.

DiNucci stepped in to help the Bills out, but it didn't last long.  He was only here for a couple of weeks.  Once the preseason was over, the Bills felt confident moving forward with Josh Allen and Mitch Trubisky.

Today, DiNucci signed with the New Orleans Saints, but the way that it was announced was kind of funny.  Normally you'll hear it from an NFL analyst or from the agent that represents the player like when he signed here in Buffalo.

But DiNucci wasn't waiting for any of those announcements today.  Instead, he just announced it himself and used himself as the source.

DiNucci was a 7th-round draft pick for the Dallas Cowboys in the 2020 Draft.  He saw some action with the Cowboys after a couple of injuries forced starter Andy Dalton to the sidelines in October of that year.  The first game was October 19th against the Cardinals.  On October 25th against the Commanders DiNucci ended up going 2 for 3 for 39 yards.  The shocking statistic though was that he ended up taking 3 sacks on just 12 snaps.

Congrats to DiNucci on his new signing.
