Benefit Street Hockey Tourney In North Tonawanda This Weekend

When we are asked to help the community, we do the best we can as quickly as we can to get the word out! When it comes to kids with cancer, Country 1065 WYRK has been a long time partner of Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.

As the premier research hospital for childhood cancers, St. Jude has been able to help families across the globe for years! Over the last few years, WYRK has been able to raise over $1 million to help the efforts in the fight against childhood cancer.

This weekend, there is a special benefit hockey tournament that will raise funds that will go to help the family of a young man named Connor O'Neil who is currently battling cancer at Saint Jude!

Connor has a very rare malignant and aggressive tumor in his brain. Only a handful of cases have been managed in North America and more at Saint Jude than anywhere else in the world.

Connor is in good hands with the doctors, nurses, volunteers and staff at Saint Jude.

This weekends tournament is going to be a great time for a great cause! It is a three on three street hockey tournament that takes place this coming Sunday, August 1, on Niagara Falls Blvd. in North Tonawanda at Hockey Outlet. There will be basket raffles, a yellow lab puppy auction, a diamond from Paul’s Jewelry Design, plenty of Bills and Sabres memorabilia, plus a Lexus car for the day while your's gets detailed!
