It's back to classes for most colleges across Western New York. Usually, one of the toughest decisions in life is picking a major for your college career.

According to WIVB, Bankrate ranked the most and least valuable college degrees to get. The factors that went into the rankings were median annual income, unemployment rates and the need for advanced degrees.

So what did they decide was the best degrees?

The top two were naval architecture and marine engineering. Students who go for those degrees usually earn $90,000 a year!

Science, engineering/electrical engineering and technology dominated the top of the rankings.

Which majors came in at the bottom?

Well, if you're the arts type, it's not good news as fine arts, linguistics, drama and theater were deemed the least valuable majors.
