Every year the New York Beef Council holds a competition to find the best burger in the state and this week they released their Top 10 finalists for 2022.

Ale ‘n Angus Pub, Syracuse: “Holy Smokers Burger”
Bear Creek, Brewerton: “Bourbon Bear Creek Burger”
Ben’s Fresh, Port Jervis: “Benny Burger”
Brewer Union Café, Brewerton: “Bam Bam Burger”
Butera’s Craft Beer and Craft Pizzas, Hamburg: “The Peanut Butter Rocket Burger”
Illusive Restaurant and Bar, Rensselaer: “The Empire Smash Burger”
Madison Bistro, Wampsville: “The Cowboy Burger”
Neir’s Tavern, New York City: “Goodfellas Burger”
Talking Cursive Brewing Co., Syracuse: “Pub Pretzel Burger”
The Angry Garlic, Baldwinsville: “Hot Mess Burger"
The contest for 2022 launched in April with the finalists announced this week. The final four will be announced coming up on Monday, May 9th.
The New York Beef council launched the Best Burger competition in 2018 with Ale `n Angus Pub in Syracuse winning 3 out of four years. The only year they didn't win was in 2020 when Monirae’s took home the title of "Best Burger In New York"
