Big Money Being Delivered Now From New York State
Today is the day that many families in New York State will start to see checks arrive in their mailbox.
The price of everything has skyrocketed these days. Have you seen the price of gas and the interest rates lately? To add to that, thousands of former students in New York are now struggling with paying back on their federal student loans. Then you have to factor in the fears that are with the current war in the Middle East.
Families from Albany to Buffalo are struggling and there appears to be some good news. Beyond the STAR check that you may have gotten recently, there may be another check in the mailbox soon.
Governor Kathy Hochul today announced that $12 million in federal funding is being used to provide a one-time Family Economic Support payment to low-income families with children. Administered by the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance, the Pandemic Emergency Assistance Fund will provide households with children aged 17 and under that receive Public Assistance, with approximately $100.
How have you been changing things at your home? Some are saying that they are facing more trouble when they try to refinance the stuff they have. Interest rates are out of control and the mortgage rates are at record levels. $100 may not seem like much but it could help with food and other essentials.
