We knew he couldn’t stay away.

If there was a Mount Rushmore of sworn enemies of dedicated Buffalo Bills fans, we know one face that would absolutely be on it.

We’re not thinking of Tom Brady (who some of us begrudgingly like his color analysis on Fox Sports, but hate his bad juju that he was present at our most recent Bills loss). We could also name Hall-Of-Famers like Dan Marino and Steve Young, and future hall-of-famers like Patrick Mahomes (groan all you want; you know it’s true) to be on that list.

But we all know there’s one name that seems to make Bills fans grind their teeth at night more than anyone else over the past twenty years…and guess what?

He's back.

Bill Belichick Is The New Head Coach Of North Carolina

After a year-plus hiatus of being basically forced out of his 23 year-long head coaching job with the Bills rival New England Patriots, Buffalo area fans celebrated. But beware– this could be the next step to Bill Belichick’s reentry into the NFL.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Belichick has signed on to be the head coach of the football program at the University of North Carolina, replacing dismissed coach Mack Brown. Inside Carolina has reported the deal was signed for three years and $30 million per year.

Belichick has history with the school, as his father served as an assistant coach there in the 1950’s.

Earlier this week on The Pat McAfee Show, Belichick hinted at his prospective new position by saying  that he had "a couple of good conversations" with the organization but didn’t want to give away too many details.

Do you think Belichick will actually last three years in college football, or is he making his climb back up the ladder to become the winningest head coach in NFL history?
