As of late last night, many thought the Buffalo Bills would have signed running back Leonard Fournette by this time today.  But that's not going to happen just yet.

Late on Monday night, it was reported that former Jaguars and Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette was scheduled for a visit with the Buffalo Bills and that it was likely that he was going to sign with them.

That isn't the case anymore.

Who is Leonard Fournette?

Leonard Fournette is a free-agent running back.  He was a standout at LSU and then was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars.  He then went on to play along side Tom Brady for the Tampa Bay Buccanneers.  He was on the team that beat the Chiefs in Super Bowl LV .

Bills fans might remember Fournette from this moment

Unfortunately, Bills fans might remember Fournette for another reason.  In 2018, the Bills were playing the Jags in Buffalo when a ball was caught by Moncrief of the Jaguars and Wallace of the Bills.  As they fought for possession a fight broke out and he got into it with Shaq Lawson.

They were both ejected from the game after throwing punches.

Fournette will not be visiting with the Bills after all

Although there were multiple reports saying that a visit was happening, it has since been canceled with the Bills.

It looks as though the Bills were trying to make moves in case they lost Ty Johnson from their practice squad and were hoping to fill that hole.  Fournette would be a person who could come in and immediately help them out.

Also with Damien Harris being out for an undetermined amount of time with a neck sprain, they would have someone else to help carry the load.

It doesn't mean that they will not look to visit with him in the future.  Obviously there is interest in the running back.  It just means that at this point, they don't feel the need.
