The Buffalo Bills are preparing to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday at 4:25 pm. It'll be a short week for the Bills coming off their Monday Night Football game against the New England Patriots, which resulted in a 14-10 loss in harsh weather conditions at Highmark Stadium.

A big storyline after the loss was Bills safeties Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde's comments with Buffalo reporter Jerry Sullivan, whose question about their run defense and "is that embarrassing?" caused Poyer and Hyde some frustration; with Hyde telling Sullivan:

"Respect, this is all about respect. I come here every single week and I answer your questions, truthfully, honestly. I appreciate you guys. Don't do that. Don't do that."

On Wednesday, Hyde started off his meeting with the media by addressing the exchange that he and Sullivan had postgame on Monday.

Hyde said that he was emotional after a tough loss and that he truly respects the media and hold them to a high standard.

Hyde added that he is absolutely a sore loser, because he wants to win. The video is courtesy of Matt Bove of WKBW.

Hyde is leading all free safeties in Pro Bowl voting, which would be a long overdue honor for the Bills defensive stalwart and someone who has been a leader on the back end since 2017 when the Bills signed Hyde in free agency.

It's clear emotions ran high after that loss to New England, but it's great to see Hyde give an honest response yesterday and address the exchange from postgame. The relationship the Bills players have with the media is tight.
