Bills Rival Add Former MVP Quarterback To Roster
If and when the NFL returns, the path to the AFC East championship got a little tougher for the Buffalo Bills.
Many members of the Bills Mafia celebrated when Tom Brady left to join Tampa Bay, but New England has signed a former league MVP to compete for the starting job.
Yesterday New England announced that they came to a one year deal with former Carolina Panther QB Cam Newton.
Newton is coming off a foot injury and only played in two games last season. Newton is best known for winning the NFL MVP back in 2015. He was also named the NFL offensive rookie of the year in 2011.
The good news is that current Bills head coach Sean McDermott was the Panthers defensive coordinator when Cam was the starter and knows a lot of him.
Newton is 2-5 overall in the 7 games he has started against the Bills in his career.
