BREAKING NEWS: Car In River Near Niagara Falls
UPDATE: New York State Police confirm a female in her late 60s was driving the vehicle. NYS police confirm she is deceased
Police Divers are currently on the scene of a car that is submerged in the Niagara River right on the brink of Niagara Falls.
Police have blocked off that area of Niagara Falls as they work to move the car. WIVB posted a picture of the car on their Twitter page this afternoon.
This is a breaking news story and as of this writing, police have not told the media if there is anyone in the car or what caused the car to go into the river.
The car is located about 100 yards upstream from the brink of the falls at Prospect Point.
