Buffalo Woman Set to Debut on American Idol Tonight

A local Western New York girl is going to have a shining moment on National TV tonight in front of Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie during the season debut of American Idol.

Western New York native, Savannah Swatland from South Wales will be trying to make it past Luke Bryan, Carrie and Lionel tonight to get to the next round of American Idol. Savannah has been an up and coming country star who has a lot of talent. There are a few viewing parties that will be all over across Western New York including Bloomfield's in Depew. In fact, she has even had the chance to sing with Zach Top recently in a video that has since gone viral.

When is American Idol on TV?

American Idol is back on ABC starting Monday, January 26, 2026 starting at 8 PM. This season 24, will be moved from the usual Sunday nights to Monday nights for this season.
