The Dumbest Bills Stat You’ve Ever Heard (That’s Actually True)
The Buffalo Bills finally have a 1pm game this Sunday (remember when we used to complain about the “disrespect” that the team had no primetime games? We had a lot more sleep then).
Even though it’s not in a prestige timeslot, it’s still one of the most anticipated games of the season, considering the 3-1 Bills will be in Houston taking on the 3-1 Texans.
Oh, and they'll likely be trying to stifle the running yards of some guy named Stefon Diggs.
Many feel like things can’t get any worse after the embarrassing loss on the road to the Baltimore Ravens last Sunday night, but I disagree. This has now become a must-win game for both morale, pride, and potential playoff standings.

While expressing this to a friend, they proceeded to tell me a stat that was meant to relieve any anxiety plaguing me about Sunday’s game, but instead, sent me down an insane rabbit hole.
Here’s How The Buffalo Bills Do After Losing To “Bird” Teams
This can’t be real.
Apparently, since head coach Sean McDermott took the reins of the Buffalo Bills in 2017, the team is 4-1 after losing to a team named after a bird.
First of all, who would legitimately take the time to figure that out?
And two… huh?
When I heard this (honestly) stupid stat the other day, I didn’t believe it; but I guess hearing this nonsense wasn’t dumb enough to prevent me from taking the time to look it up myself.
This Crazy Statistic About The Buffalo Bills Is True
Oh, wow.
McDermott’s tenure as head coach has legitimately only produced one loss after losing to a team named after a feathered friend, and that was in his early days of 2018 when the Bills lost two in a row early in the season to the Ravens and then the Chargers. Since then, they’ve been golden.
Congratulations to my braggy friend for being correct. I guess I owe them lunch now.
I can’t believe I wasted an afternoon looking this up, but I guess I’m glad I did. At the very least, it's given me some confidence going into Sunday’s game. Hopefully it will for you, too.
I’m still a little mad, though.
