Buffalo Bills Name 6 Players That Will Immediately Be Cut
The preseason is over and now it is time for teams to being making cuts to their roster. The Bills started today with 6.
Over the weekend, the Bills released Matt Araiza from the team after allegations surfaced of a rape at San Diego State University.
Today, Brandon Beane let 6 more go. The players included are:
OL Jacob Capra
Capra spent the 2021 season on the practice squad for the Bills last year and it's possible he might be able to find a spot there again this year.
OL Tanner Owen
Owen was a rookie free agent who signed with the Bills in May. Coming from Missouri State University, he was a two-time AFCA All-America choice with a first-team selection in 2019 and a second-team pick in 2021.
WR Neil Pau'u
You may have heard this name a bit in this last game against Carolina. Pau'u is another undrafted free agent.
DE Daniel Joseph
Joseph is from Toronto and came to the Bills as an undrafted free agent.
DB Jordan Miller
Miller is a former 5th round draft pick who was chosen by the Atlanta Falcons. He found himself on IR in November of 2020, then finally waived by the Falcons. He went on to play for Seattle and New Orleans before coming to Buffalo.
DB Josh Thomas
Thomas is another former 5th round draft pick who was chosen by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2011 draft. He played college at UB and has since played for Carolina, Seattle, New York, Detroit, Minnesota, Indianapolis, anda second stint with the Cowboys before trying out for the Bills.
More cuts will come over the next couple of hours as all teams are set to have their rosters down to 53 players by Tuesday, Aug. 30 at 4 p.m. ET.
