As summer inches closer to ending in North America, football teams all across the National Football League are wrapping up their preseason activities and getting ready for the 2025 NFL regular season.

As the NFL roster cutdown deadline approaches on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 4 pm eastern, many NFL teams are making the final player evaluations after the last preseason games happened this past weekend.

The hometown Buffalo Bills, which was able to snag a win in Tampa, Florida, against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is in that exact process as we speak.

With the last preseason game in the books, here are a few things that we took away from how the Bills performed in Tampa Bay:

Frank Gore, Jr., Is Going To Be A Good Running Back

There was some worry that the Bills would have a few issues to deal with at Running Back if they were not able to secure a long term contract with James Cook. However, that deal was secured and Cook is locked in for a while. However, the hometown team has good depth in the backfield and Frank Gore, Jr., showed that he will be a force to reckon with as he grows in the NFL.

The Bills Defensive Secondary Is Banged Up

There are many hoping the Bills are able to make some moves on the trade market or in Free Agency because the secondary needs some help. With Tre'Davious White, Te'Cory Couch, Maxwell Hairston, Jordan Hancock, and Cam Lewis all nursing injuries, the depth chart in the secondary is looking light.

Buffalo Joe Is Poised To Be A Star

It's not often that an undrafted player can walk on to the his hometown team and not only make an impact but have the potenital to be a start, but that's what what we have in Buffalo with Joe Andreessen. Buffalo Joe did a great job at Linebacker, such a good job that Pro Football Focus named him the Player Of The Game.
