We're just about three weeks away from the start of the new league year in the NFL, which means the start of unrestricted free agency. That will commence on March 16th at 4 pm.

Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane will be extremely busy over the next several weeks, trying to re-sign players who are about to hit the open market, along with trying to create more salary cap room and sign free agents for Buffalo.

One player who will not be going anywhere is cornerback and special teamer, Siran Neal.

Neal signed a three-year contract extension with the Bills on Wednesday, which will keep him in Buffalo through the 2024 season.

Neal was a 5th round draft pick by the Bills out of Jacksonville State in the 2018 NFL Draft, and has developed into one of the best special teams players in the entire NFL. He's valuable as a gunner on punts and a sure tackler as well.

Neal met with the media in Buffalo on Thursday and explained why he wanted to stay in Buffalo, long-term.

Neal said he think of thee Bills like his family and that they lean on each other.

The Bills tweeted a video of Neal thanking Bills fans and saying how much he was glad to be back in Buffalo for the next three seasons.

Neal is an unsung player on the Bills. His special teams work was outstanding, as was Tyler Matakavich and Taiwan Jones.

Jones is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent as well. The 33-year-old has been a standout special teamer for Buffalo in 2020-2021 and his first stint with the team, from 2017-2018.
