Good Luck Getting A Ticket To The Buffalo Bills
Over 71,000 fans were in attendance at Highmark Stadium last Sunday to watch the Buffalo Bills take on the rival Kansas City Chiefs, the first time the stadium held that many people since 2008.
With such a highly anticipated matchup, ticket resale prices were through the roof, and if you were one of the thousands of fans who couldn’t afford to get into the game or get their hands on a ticket, you’re not alone. (A friend of mine who has season tickets so kindly told me that I “would have an easier time getting a seat on a spaceship.” Thanks.)
So now that the Bills have handed the Chiefs their first loss of the season, things should start going back to normal, and Western New York fans of the Buffalo Bills should have less problems getting into Highmark Stadium, right?
Yeah. We wish.
Buffalo Bills See Massive Increase In Interest For Tickets
The Bills six-game winning streak and impressive 9-2 record (the first time since 1992) is going to make it a lot harder to see the team IRL.
The ticket broker site Vivid Seats reports that their Buffalo Bills landing page saw a huge increase in traffic after the Chiefs game, spiking 161% after the Bills win. And although the Bills are on a bye this week, it looks like interest in their next home bout is also through the roof. Vivid Seats found that the Bills’ next home game against the San Francisco 49ers on December 1st also saw a spike of 221% after their week eleven win.
Yikes.
Of course we want to see the Buffalo Bills keep up their domination– it’s been one of the most exciting seasons we’ve witnessed in Western New York in a long time. But sadly, many of us are realizing that if our team keeps winning, we’ll be watching most of the games from our sofas (or emptying our bank accounts for a decent seat inside Highmark Stadium).
