Buffalo Bills Make an Underrated Move on Monday

it was a wild day in the NFL on Monday. The first day of legal tampering in unrestricted free agency.

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed wide receiver Christian Kirk, the Los Angeles Chargers signed cornerback J.C. Jackson and the New York Jets signed tight end C.J. Uzomah, to name a few moves.

Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane has his share of moves on Monday as well.

The Bills released offensive lineman, Daryl Williams. The move saves them $6 million in salary cap space. The Bills also extended center Mitch Morse to a two-year contract through 2024 and they also signed former Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Rams guard, Rodger Saffold.

The Bills made another move on Monday evening and this time, it was a sneaky good move to address the defensive line.

The Bills agreed to teams with defensive tackle Tim Settle to a two-year contract.

Settle is a 1-technique defensive tackle who can help with run support but also can rush the passer. He was used sparingly in Washington with the now Commanders the four seasons and will likely get a chance to play more snaps in 2022 with Buffalo.

Settle also reunites with Bills linebacker Tremaine Edmunds. The two were college teammates at Virginia Tech.

It may not be a sexy move for the Bills, but one that could pay off big time. Settle is prime to breakout in the right system.
