Based in Buffalo for 146 years, Kittinger Furniture Company has been selected as the winner of 2012 BEST: Made in America award, an annual designation given to American-based manufacturing businesses. MADE: In America is a not-for-profit organization in Washington, DC that identifies, honors, and showcases America’s leading manufacturers.

The Kittinger Furniture Company will be recognized for its exemplary craftsmanship and its commitment to American-based production at a private reception and awards ceremony on July 4th at the United States Capitol. Kittinger’s award winning products will also be featured in the special “At Home in Washington” show house at the Washington Design Center, open to the public through the month of July.

Among Kittinger’s customers over the years has been the White House. The Cabinet Room of the White House features a finely handcrafted Kittinger conference table and chairs that were personally ordered and paid for by former President Richard Nixon in 1969. One of the original chairs is on display at the The Kittinger Gallery and Design Studio at 5363 Transit Road in Williamsville.

Kittinger Furniture products are manufactured at their factory on Main Street in Buffalo. Since 1866, Kittinger Furniture is handcrafted with historical design, flawless precision and detailed craftsmanship.

Kittinger employs over 20 people and in addition to their location in Williamsville, Kittinger Furniture is on display at showrooms across the country in Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Ohio, New York City, and Washington, D.C. Beginning in September, Kittinger Furniture will expand into Tokyo, Japan.

Congratulations to Buffalo’s own Kittinger Furniture.
