I've heard many locals over the years say "keep Buffalo a secret" and there's even a mural that pontificates that in the city.

But the secret is slowly but surely getting out there.

According to Step Out Buffalo, Thrillist has named Buffalo the most underrated city to spend a weekend.

The bars are open late, the food scene is awesome, and the people are nice! Thrillist made sure to point that out -- and it's the reason Buffalo was nicknamed the City of Good Neighbors.

Then there's the smell. Parts of the city smell like Cheerios, due to the General Mills factory. I've smelt Trix plenty of times as well too, which is awesome by the way, since that's one of my favorite cereals.

Buffalo is just a warm and welcoming city and we know there are tons of great things to do here, along with an amazing food scene. Look at all the Bills and Sabres players who have settled here after their playing career.

It's a great place to spend a weekend, but it's also a great place to raise a family and settle down.
