
Police Department In Buffalo Issues Stern Warning To Law Breakers
Summertime in Western New York is often a great place to be. Thanks to all off the amaizing resouces, and great htings to do in the region, folks far and wide are finally able to come outside and enjoy everything the 716 has to offer.
Unfortunately, sometimes that means that we also see an uptick in illegal and illicit activity around the region. From improper use of drugs and alcohol to quality of life issues and major incidents, the warmer weather is often paired with a lot more crime than we usually see.
This has been very much evident over the last few days as Western New York has seen a big jump in activity, some of which has gone viral.
Buffalo Police Commissioner Issues Warning
In a video message that was posted to social media, the Commissioner of the Buffalo Police Department, Alphonso Wright, addressed some of the illegal street parties that have been popping up all over Buffalo. Including one that ended with two people being stabbed and fireworks being thrown and shot at BPD officers.
In an effort to combat these things, the Buffalo Police Department has announced they are going to step up enforcement around the city.

In addition to monitoring social media and other ways that people communicate, the department is planning to be more aggressive when it comes to how officers interact with people on the street.
Buffalo Police Officers may start issuing fines on the spot to law breakers, which could cost as much as $1,500 each, or even arrest people, which could result in them spending at least 15 days in jail.
