Butterball has issued a recall for nearly 80,000 pounds of ground turkey because of potential salmonella contamination.

Eating contaminated food could cause salmonellosis which is one of the most common bacterial foodborne illnesses.

the effects could cause diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever within 12 to 72 hours of ingestion. While most people recover without treatment from the illness, some people, though, may be hospitalized.
Impacted products will be dated July 26, 2018, and bear the establishment number "EST. P-7345" inside the USDA mark of inspection.
