Canada Meets Russia For Junior Hockey Gold
Canadians wanted revenge for the loss to the Americans last year and they got it. Team Canada beat Team USA 4-1 in one of Monday’s World Junior semi-final games at HSBC Arena to advance to Wednesday’s gold medal game against Russia. Russia beat Sweden in a shootout.
The Canadians built a 4-nothing lead before the U-S finally scored. Buffalo Sabres prospect Zach Kassian scored one of the Canadian goals.
The U-S will meet Sweden for the bronze medal.
