The entire country has been thinking of Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin since the game last night.  It wasn't long into the game when he sustained a blow that landed him in the hospital in critical condition.

Now, a group of fans is planning to show support by setting up a candlelight vigil at Highmark Stadium.

Buffalo has been through a ton over the last year.  From the mass shooting on May 14th, to a blizzard that took the lives of 39 people, to a house fire that took the lives of 5 children on New Year's Eve, it feels like this community just keeps getting punched in the chin.

The event on Facebook says,

"Tonight (1/3) at 7 pm we will be doing a candlelight vigil for the lives lost in the blizzard that destroyed our buffalo community. we will also be doing a prayer for Damar Hamlin who suffered a life-threatening injury last night on the football field while he was doing what he loved. Please come out and show your love and support to not only the lives impacted in the blizzard but also for the bills organization and Damar Hamlin as he is fighting everyday second of the day to stay alive and go back to his family. IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT THAT'S OK I WILL BE LIVESTREAMING THE EVENT ON MY FACEBOOK PAGE."

** This event looks as though it is being planned by a community member and not an official event planned by the Buffalo Bills or anyone in their organization. **
