A junior at Canisius High School is offering help to area seniors so that they can get the COVID-19 vaccination.

Dominic Redman told WGRZ that the idea to offer technical help to area seniors to navigate the vaccination websites came after his grandma had trouble setting up her appointment.

His grandma was having an issue trying to schedule her appointment on the website so Dominic decided to help out. His mom said he was able to get her set up in just a couple of minutes.

Jill said, "It took him about five minutes to schedule her, and once he did, she called her sisters, siblings, cousins, and he started scheduling them. That showed him that there was a great need for someone to step in on behalf of the elderly."

After helping his grandma, the idea of offering his help to other seniors citizens took off and he even placed an ad in the Pennysaver.

Dominic has expanded the idea on social media with the Take 5 Challenge. He is challenging area high school kids to reach out and help at least five people get vaccinated.
