Celebrate Christmas In July On 716 Day With Bills’ Dion Dawkins

716 Day only comes once a year.  It's something they normally say about Christmas.  But this year, Christmas is going to come twice...and it's for a great cause.

If you've lived in Buffalo for any period of time, you know that 716 Day is a day to celebrate everything Buffalo.  Considering that the area code that covers most of the area here in Western New York is 7-1-6, and July 16th can also be written 7/16, we've come to celebrate it as if it was a national holiday.

This year, Dion Dawkins of the Buffalo Bills is taking advantage of not only that holiday but also Christmas to benefit his foundation Dion's Dreamers.  It's a foundation that aims to provide mentorship and support to young men and women in underserved communities, as well as those in a place of mental, financial, or physical hardship.

Dawkins, along with the Dion's Dreamers foundation will be hosting a Christmas in July party to celebrate local businesses, restaurants, and more.  There will be food and drinks available, live music, entertainment, and even a visit from Santa Claus!

The event is free to attend.  The proceeds from the food and drinks, however, will go to help out the foundation.

If you'd like to attend, you won't be able to miss it at the corner of North Park Avenue and Hertel Avenue.  The street will be blocked off there.

The event will take place from 4pm-10pm on July 16th.

Dion (also known to BillsMafia as the Schnowman!)  is entering his 5th year with the Buffalo Bills.  He was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2017 Draft.
