Five people were injured when a Chautauqua County Sheriff's car crashed into an Amish buggy. The accident happened on Sunday, October 30, 2022. A Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputy drove a patrol car into the wagon just after 9 pm, according to WIVB.

The buggy was traveling on Stockton-Hartfield Road headed northwest when the patrol car ran into it from behind, rear-ending it. The buggy sustained heavy damage. The five injured people were taken to Jamestown UPMC (University of Pittsburgh Medical Center). The horse that was pulling the buggy was also injured and had to be euthanized. The Sheriff’s deputy was not injured in the crash. An Investigation is ongoing.
