We brought it up on the morning show, and we were amazed at the response.  People in Western New York are nuts about Chick-fil-A.  There are no locations in this area but the company says it's looking into expanding here.

Just that mention flooded the radio station with calls from people who love the fast food chain. The closest location to the Buffalo area is in Erie, Pennsylvania, and we heard from people who say they occasionally make the two hour drive to Erie to satisfy their cravings.

Then we heard from people who had suggestions on the types of menu items first-time customers at Chick-fil-A should order. From chicken strips, to chicken sandwiches, to waffle fries and milkshakes, people drive out of their way to stop at Chick-fil-A.

The Atlanta-based chain, famous for their original chicken sandwich, has more than 1,900 restaurants in 42 states and Washington, DC.  Soon there may be one near you.

One other chain that will be coming to this area is Dickey's Barbecue Pit.  The Texas-based chain has agreed to open two Buffalo-area locations. One of them will open by the end of this year.  The other will open sometime next year.  Currently the closest Dickey's Barbeque is roughly a three-hour drive away.
