The man is still on the run as police have been unable to arrest him even though there have been reports of trespassing.

If you (or someone you know) live in Colden, you may want to be on the lookout for an unexpected visitor, because apparently one is making the rounds.

One resident of Colden shared a warning into the Colden Neighbors Facebook group

The post said:

“Tonight around 9pm My Fiancee and I were returning home and we noticed a random bicycle laying on the side of Lewis RD. While getting out of our vehicle my fiancee heard noises at an abandoned house across the road. That's when he Noticed a sketchy guy asked him what he was doing and he came right out and said 'I'm breaking into these houses to find some place to live I'm homeless'

EVERYONE PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS GUY!!! THE POLICE HAVE BEEN CONTACTED MORE THAN ONCE AND WE ARE NOT SURE WHAT THEY HAVE DONE ABOUT THIS!! LOCK YOUR DOORS!!!!!!

It is a sad situation to think that someone would need to squat in someone else’s home just to find shelter, but it looks like there may be a little more to the story.

Adam Smith, who lives in Colden, commented on the post after having some suspicions that he may have seen the guy that the original poster had described.

“I wonder if it’s the same guy I found sleeping in my neighbor’s woods. Red jacket black backpack?” Smith wrote.

The original poster responded back, confirming “that’s him. If you found him sleeping in your woods, call the police.”

Tim Hare shared a mugshot for more clarity as to what this man may look like.

With others in the neighborhood confirming the identity of the man, another neighbor found out that he had been arrested before, and you can read more about that previous occurrence here.

If you are out in Colden, remember to stay alert. We will update you as we receive more information on the situation.
