There’s a new brewery and taproom in town that might hold your next favorite IPA. It is taking over the hole that was left after the Pegulas sold The 716. 

The newest taproom will provide a full tasting room experience to the Buffalo community, featuring not only the brands you love, but the beers as well! 

New Location Opening

It’s called Southern Tier Brewing Company, and it is opening in the heart of downtown Buffalo. 

It will feature pours from fresh Southern Tier beers, along with their sister brands Victory Brewing Company, Sixpoint Brewing, and Bold Rock Hard Cider.

One thing that is unique about Buffalo’s newest taproom is that they will offer a selection of Southern Tier favorites to-go, whether that is in a can, a bottle, or a growler fill. And if you are looking for a new place to watch the Bills or the Sabres, this could be it.

Business Hours

The first day for the new brewery is Sept. 28 and it opens at 3:00 pm.

Although Southern Tier Brewing will be closed weekly on Monday, they are open six days per week. Here are the business hours:

History

Southern Tier Brewing began nearly 20 years ago in 2002 near Lakewood, New York. The company started using second-hand equipment, and now, it has become one of the top craft beer companies in the eastern United States. 

Southern Tier is known for its big flavor and high quality, and they have strong recognizable brands -- such as 2X IPA, Pumking, and Overpack’d, the top can variety pack in the United States. Since their start in Lakewood, NY, Southern Tier has had taproom locations at its production brewery in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Charlotte.
