There has been quite a few spotting of coyotes in Western New York. These pictures that were captured by Mark David on Facebook were really cool. Check out this coyote that was taking a walk yesterday down by the Outer Harbor in Buffalo, New York.

Have you seen any coyotes in the area lately? It seems like there have been spot tings of some in very usual and residential areas around Western New York.

My parents live on the south side of Lancaster and behind their house is a ton of woods and you could often hear the coyotes in the middle of the night, especially in the Summer when all the windows were open. It is not the first time that Lancaster has spotted coyotes. In fact, they've been getting pretty close to homes.

Take a look at this pretty good-sized coyote that was running through the front yards of Lancaster, New York a couple of Winters ago.

According to Lancaster Police, the photographs were taken near Wilkshire Place and Aurora Street in the Village. The photographer tells us that the coyote has recently been seen other times in the same area. Residents are encouraged to monitor their pets and small children when outside, and to bring in any pet food or other potential sources of food for the coyote.

Take a look at these pictures. If you live in the suburbs have you seen any coyotes in your yard? They are typically scared of humans.
