When I got to the top of the 50-foot tower, Padraic, the young man in charge of the COPE (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience) program at Camp Schoellkopf asked me if I was afraid of heights.  I told him I wasn't.  I was just afraid of falling.  He assured me l wouldn't.

So with that I rappelled down from the 50-foot tower - the first time I've ever done that in my life.  I've never been to a camp in my life, so I figured it's never too late to try something.  If you can get over your initial fears it'll all work out just fine. When I saw some young kids doing it - I figured I can do it too, so let's give it a try.  And what a riot.  I'd love to do it again.

So all geared up with a harness, gloves and a helmet all I had to do was climb to the top and lower myself down.  Easy huh?  Let's see.
