Street Named After Damar Hamlin in East Aurora
The entire country, not just the Buffalo Bills and NFL, were supporting and thinking about Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin, who went into cardiac arrest on the field during the Monday Night Football game between the Bills and Cincinnati Bengals.
Thankfully, Hamlin has made remarkable progress in his recovery and on Friday had his breathing tube removed. He also is neurologically intact, according to doctors at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, which was amazing news.
On Friday, the Village of East Aurora decided to pay tribute to Damar Hamlin by renaming Hamlin street; or at least someone took it upon themselves to put Damar above Hamlin and Main Street.
This is right in front of places like Mister's and Bar-Bill.
The doctors said on Thursday that Hamlin was starting to find out exactly how big this story was and how many people were praying and thinking about him.
He addressed his Bills teammates via Zoom on Friday morning, which came as a surprise to the team. Hamlin said "love you guys," which has to be an emotional jolt for Buffalo heading into their week 18 game at home against the New England Patriots.
Bills Mafia is simply the best.
