Disney To Offer New Bundle Package: Disney+, Hulu And ESPN+

In what was a big announcement on Tuesday, Disney announced that they plan to offer a bundle package for its streaming service Disney+, that will include both Hulu and ESPN+.

The bundle of Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ will only cost $12.99 a month. The price is cheaper than other streaming services, like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

The bundle package will be available on November 12th.

Both Hulu and ESPN+ are available for less than $6 a month each, currently. ESPN+ is Disney owned and carries, “hundreds of MLB, NHL and MLS games, Grand Slam tennis, Top Rank boxing, PGA Tour golf, college sports, international rugby, cricket, the full library of ESPN Films including 30 for 30, and more.” 

“The positive response to our direct-to-consumer strategy has been gratifying, and the integration of the businesses we acquired from 21st Century Fox only increases our confidence in our ability to leverage decades of iconic storytelling and the powerful creative engines across the entire company to deliver an extraordinary value proposition to consumers,” Disney CEO Bob Iger said in a press release.

Some questions still remain, as Hulu isn't available in Canada but Disney wants to bring Hulu to international markets, too. ESPN+ might run into a snag with regional licensing issues and certain markets being impacted.
