Chilly Forecast! It’s The End Of Summer In New York State
The end of the hot and humid summer weather has arrived in much of New York State! It has been one of the hottest summers that we have had in a long tim, and it looks like the pattern is about to change.
Beyond the hot weather, most have reported that this could be the driest stretch of weather that we have has in many years. But is has been a good summer for outdoor events like concerts and fairs and festivals.
If you like cooler weather, the forecast calls for daytime highs to become more tolerable.
I was watching Channel 2 News in Buffalo this weekend, and the meteorologist predicted that this weekend will signal the end of the upper 80's and that it quite possibly will be the last time we get that warm this summer.
It seems that aligns with what the folks at the National Weather Service office in Buffalo, New York has also predicted.
"Warmer & drier than normal weather has dominated much of western & north central NY since the start of July. The pattern is expected to take more of a trend toward cooler and wetter than normal over the next few weeks".
The bad part about the turn toward fall is that it is coming with more rain. I asked our 5-year-old about the change and he, like most of us who grew up in New York State is looking forward to the fall. "I can't wait to get to jump in to the leaves"!
There are still a couple of weeks left before school begins and the fall routine really takes over. Time to check off those last summer bucket list items you have left!
