Our pets are part of the family and we worry about them just like any other member of the family. But when it comes to being prepared for an emergency, there are some things that maybe you didn’t think of. If a disaster were to ever happen around your house or your neighborhood, there is a chance that you may be separated from your pet. The Erie County Department of Health has sent out a tweet that advises you to have a current photo of you and your pet in case you were separated during an emergency.
With the power of social media, this is actually a great idea. If by chance you are separated from your pet you can upload a photo onto Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and perhaps someone can help to locate the animal and bring you back together.
We have two dogs at the house and they are as much a part of the family as everyone else. As a matter of fact we may spoil them just a little more than our kids!
