The 2025 concert calendar for New York State is already getting full and as we get closer to the end of this year, there are a few more shows to see.

From Buffalo, to Albany, this has been one of the best years to catch your favorite singer or band. With dozens of great indoor and outdoor venues, New York State is one of the most vibrant states for live music to thrive.

Whether you love country, rock, hip-hop or jazz, there was no shortage of great concerts this summer. But country was king for tickets sales as most of the large outdoor venues, like CMAC, SPAC or Darien Lake were sold out for their shows. Not to mention the bigger shows like Luke Combs at Highmark Stadium who went back to back nights in April.

For those who are hardcore country fans, the best concerts may be the smaller, acoustic style shows that give you a more intimate type of show with your favorite artist.

While each artist is different, and certainly some venues offer a bigger, fancier "spread", it seems the majority of country stars just want a simple backstage setup. Some food, some drinks and a place to relax before the curtain goes up.

Here is a look at the greenroom at SUNY Buffalo prior to a recent concert starring Scotty McCreery.

There are some Holiday shows still on the itinerary for 2024 and 2025 gets going fast with shows as artists like Kelsea Ballerini and Cody Johnson are planning stops in Western New York.
