The forecast calls for heavy rains possible over the next couple of days in New York State.

As we move toward the end of July, there is a chance that some might get a good deal of rain. The issue, in some areas, could be a rapid runoff of the water.

New York State has issued the following alert.

"Rain & thunderstorms will move across the state from west to east tonight through Sunday. Central & Western NY may experience isolated flash flooding tonight, with the risk extending to NYC & Long Island tomorrow".

As of early on Saturday, you could really feel the heat and humidity build. We took our kids camping overnight Friday and everything seemed to be so damp when we woke up. The amount of moisture in the air is pretty incredible.

A the end of this past week, over 60% of the state was under a high heat risk and it sure felt like it as the real feel temps were in the mid 90's!

Be ready for the possibility of flooding in some areas and remember to never try to drive through a flooded area.
