Many Roadways STILL CLOSED Due To Storm Flooding in WNY

If you are in the Buffalo area, especially the northtowns, the thunderstorms were extremely bad.

In some areas, the rain fell nearly 3 inches on Thursday night, which would be the same amount as 3 foot in converted to snow, to put it into perspective. Everywhere from Grand Island, Kenmore, Tonawanda, Cheektowaga and more had major problems, and this morning because of all of the flooding some roadways are still closed.

Friday morning, Town of Tonawanda police told WKBW that River Road is still closed from Grand Island Blvd to Sawyer Ave in Tonawanda because of flooding.

Last night the line at Home Depot was out of control and the one in the North Buffalo area had a line for sump pumps and water pumps. It was to the point where someone was greeting us at the door saying "if you are here for a pump, it is in aisle 15".

Because of the flooding a lot of roadways are still being cleaned up including River Road is still closed from Grand Island Blvd to Sawyer Ave in Tonawanda. Take a look at some of these pictures below of all of the flooding.
