It didn’t take long for the Philadelphia Flyers to cash in on some awful play by the Sabres Wednesday night. The Flyers scored three times in the first six and a half minutes and held on for a 3 to 2 win. After Lindy Ruff decided to pull Ryan Miller and replace him with Jonas Enroth the Sabres woke up and played a lot better, but they just couldn’t make up for the bad start.

The Sabres got goals from Andrei Sekera and Luke Adam. They came close to tying it at the end of the game but lost for the fourth time in five games at home. With all the money spent in the offseason – it hasn’t translated to play on the ice so far and the fans are letting them know it. There have been plenty of boos coming out of the stands at First Niagara Center.

The Sabres finish up their homestand Friday night against Calgary.
