Former Buffalo Record Theatre Getting A New Life

The old Record Theatre building on Main Street in Buffalo will soon be home to rental bikes, doughnuts, and comic books.

The Buffalo News reports, "GObike Buffalo and Reddy Bikeshare, Gutter Pop Comics, a new record shop and Fry Baby Donut Co. will occupy more than half of the available commercial space, helping to reactivate the 33,000-square-foot building on Main Street that has been vacant since the store closed two years ago."

The redevelopment committee is purchasing the building from the estate of former owner, Lenny Silver, who died in 2017.

The project is expected to begin construction in 2020.
