Former Buffalo Sabre Goalie Clint Malarchuk Will Sign His New Book This Friday
You may remember Clint Malarchuk from his days as a Buffalo Sabre. He survived one of the most gruesome injuries in the NHL when a skate slashed his carotid artery during a game. But did you know that he also struggled with mental illness, alcohol dependency, and depression?
His new book "A Matter Of Inches: How I Survived In The Crease And Beyond" will be available for purchase this Friday (November 6, 2015) as Clint leads a discussion on mental illness and how he has dealt with it throughout his life. Look for Clint to sign his new book at the Barnes & Noble location at 4401 Transit Rd in Clarence from 6-8pm.
You'll be able to hear Clint's story first hand and also take part in a fund raiser for Crisis Services. By simply mentioning "Crisis Services" at Barnes & Noble between now and November 11, a percentage of your purchase will go directly to Crisis Services to help provide services to people here in Western New York who struggle with mental illness and depression.
