Former Buffalo Sabre Evander Kane has announced that he is co-head of the newly formed Hockey Diversity Alliance.

Kane along with 6 other minority hockey players stated that the alliance was created to help eradicate racism and intolerance in Hockey.


 

According to his Twitter post, the alliance also is looking to foster positive change not only in hockey but in the communities where the game is played.

Th Tweet also states that the alliance is not part of the NHL but hopes to work with the league to achieve its goal.

Kane played for the Buffalo Sabres from 2015 until 2018.
