Former Sabre Loses Daughter In Vehicle Crash

The 18-year-old daughter of former Buffalo Sabres center Pierre Turgeon has died in a car accident in New Mexico just before the holidays.  Authorities say Elizabeth Turgeonwas driving a pickup that crashed into the trailer of a semi at the intersection of US 54 and US 60 late Thursday night.

Pierre Turgeon was drafted by the Sabres first overall in the 1987 draft.
